Wow, I must not have been paying attention to anything happening in the console world, as I have no idea what PSP or DS is...

still don't know what DS and PSP stand for though.
PSP=Playstation Portable
DS=Dual Screen
T3h PSP will play music and movies on UMD
T3h DS will have 2 screens, one on top of the other hte bottom will be a touch screen
DS=Nintendo
PSP=Sony
That should be enough for you
PSP will pwn teh DS. It has music and DVD's. All teh DS has is a touch screen, it is cool, but teh PSP will still come out solid on teh long run. Would be even bettah if it had wireless Internet play.

Since when does DS have internet, just Bluetooth wireless, it can only play with stuff within about 100 feet of it, and chances are another player wont be within 100 feet of you playin the same game

i dont know mch about either but i saw a wierd ass ds comercial on TV it was pretty fkin odd
Problem is, both will have VERY crappy battery life, esp. when playing movies (2.5 hrs only for the PSP). So I'll just stick with my computer. However, I think PSP will be better, as I really dont see the need for 2 screens.

Wireless INTERNET I said Wireless INTERNET. Neither the PSP or the DS will have actual nationwide or worldwide internet play. I bet we're still about 20-30 years from figuring out how to do that.

Well, DS pwns. You can even give it voice commands. And don't forget, you can touch it.
Actualy, Nintendo is utalizing the use of two screens quite well. They have one view of the game on top and another on bottem, and at certain points in game you'll have to look at one or the other for other reasons.
Example: THis was just an idea that was kicking around
Zelda
On the top screen you have Light Element.
On the bottem you have Dark Element
At certain points in the game you are walking on a bridge that is based on light, and there are enemies that are based on dark. So, they've thought about being on a light based platform and fighting dark based monsters, so you REALLY have to utalize both screens or else you plumet to your own demize.
Oh! And don't even fucking try to say "Well it'll get annoying going from one screen to anohter"

Fool. ANd even not it's more likely that there are people playing the same game within 100 feet than you think. One of my friends had a wireless expansion for the GBA and he was sitting in the crapper in wallmart playing another person who was a few stalls away from him. The PSP should have wi fi and for shure its got blue tooth or what ever lets you play in close range. GOOO WAR DRIVING!!!
PSP wins, no contest. First off, the PSP is made by Sony, and in the end, Sony wins. I mean, have you seen pictures of the PSP? It's sexy! Yes, that's right, I said it, the PSP is sexy. Sony is good at making sexy electronics. I mean, look at the PS2 in comparison to the Xbox or Gamecube, the simplistic aesthetic appeal just blows the other away.
The second thing is that the PSP has better graphics, more polys and higher rez textures, and seeing as I'm the graphics whore that I am, it's PSP all the way. Then what's most important is the way the two companies market their respective handhelds, and overall, Sony is usually more capable in the marketing department. So, I must say, Sony is gonna win this one kiddies, no doubt about it.
