they are ALL awesome games. each of them being very innovative and bringing a whole new thing to the genre. but as far as groundbraking goes, goldeneye completley changed the basic FPS, not since doom has the industry for shooting games been so affected. Goldeneye = God.

Perfect Dark's a great game. I dislikefirst person shooters, but I still play that game. (Not very well, but I play it.)
I personally loved starfox because it was easy, and goldeneye because i knew where all the good guns and items were and my friends didnt 8) phear~~

Super Smash brothers got old after...30 minutes lol i just liked using Link! XD StarFox was awesome cause it was a game i could pretty much just pick up and play and understand. -was playing it 20 minutes ago-

I like star fox because I like arcade flight games and phauxses.
I voted Goldeneye...since it kinda came before PD. Also, the AI was horrendously stupid (), multi-players levels were predictable, and...well...you could drive a tank!
Sure, PD has those Laptop Guns which I just keep throwing out in a hallway earning me over 100 frags in 5 minutes, but Goldeneye was a classic! Especialy DK mode.

This game defined the fps. Such brilliant games followed it made by Rare (and Free Radical [ a breakaway group of programmers from rare who left after perfect dark])
We have Perfect dark, a bloody brilliant game in itself, and obviously Timesplitters 2 (Free radical) TS2 is an amazing game, moreso for the gamecube, mainly because of the controller. TS3 out nxt year, looks very very promising. Countless games have copied Goldeneye's format, puzzles and basic engine designs.
Donkey Kong 64 - imo lacked 1 player, multi was hilarious and the music, sheer genius. Ok we have the Zelda Series which if i didnt mention i would be clinically insane (and yes WW owns) Mario 64, my first game, got an emulator with it on my PDA, very swish, love the game, still play it when im bored.
Other Games that deserve a big mention...
we got the mighty F-Zero, best arcade racer, none of that wipeout copying shite.
the insatiable multiplayer that is SSB, class game much fun is had with 2 n64's 2 TV's 8 controllers SSB and a load of alcohol
Lylatwars (sp?ops: ) [OK to any1 outside the uk this is Starfox, due to legal resons in the UK they couldnt called it Starfox, because it sonuded to much like a company called STARVOX, yeah lame innit] Awesome game

Banjo-Kazooie, lovely game, loved it, no mario though, *jiggy*
The list continues of all time greats for the n64 (now somehow classed as a retro console?? wtf is that about)
Basically i love nintendo, n64 is their best console (so far)
cant wait for the DS, bored of typing now Peace-out! etc etc etc...
EDIT : The only way to play multiplayer goldeneye was 1 shot kill, Archives.

lmao DK mode made me laugh but i loved Paintball mode! whooo i made rainbows on teh walls! and wrote stuff ^_^
I like killing Janus in one shot with cheated weapons. and the tazer was ki><0r.
As for DK64, I loved it when it came out, it was like mario, but different, and I acctually played it more belive it or not. Still cant beat tehat damn original donkey kong classic so I never beat it. But I will. Maybe.
I really liked Banjo Kazooie ^^. That was a fun game, who doesn't like a bear with a bird in his backpack? Banjo-Tooie (Sequel to original, tooie... Git it? o.o) was also really fun ^__^;;.
i liked the RUSH series, but i voted for Perfect Dark, cuz it's still the coolest... it was soooo ahead of it's time

Was a very close call between Zelda: Majora's Mask, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, but Perfect Dark just nicked it for its multiplayer capabilities, even though it actually has the worst single player of the three.
