Lets Go To The Facts.
1. What Other System Can You Put ANY Emulation System On? Huh Huh?
2. No System Has YET To Match Dreamcasts Specs, 128 Bit Baby!
3. The VMU Pwns J00.
4. Who Can Forget The Games!?!?!?!

Ok, the VMU was cool, and the games were memorable, but overall it came out too early. Should have been held back and improved and released with the PS2 at the earliest. It seemed to be a case of bad timing and under development.
Hast makes waste I guess.

The Dreamcast does own all, if not for this one game....
Phantasy Star Online

o.o What About Bangai-O

Only liked crazy taxi, and that got boring after about 10 goes on it.

the dreamcast was a bad system, and , sega rushed it out. and i believe every system currently has a 128 bit video card system. they had one game, um what game. it had none. except the sonic adventure series. thats it. dont even say the sports series, cause that sucked. thats why sega's sports series only lasted 2 years after the dreamcast died. it was on the market, for less than two years. there was not enough room for four systems on the video game market. simply put, dreamcast sucked. and i feel bad for all the people that bought one before the ps2 came out. sega was up shit creek without a paddle as soon as sega cd was released, because it showed they were desperate too find something that would sell.Originally Posted by Şĥ&

ok. somebody is a little defensive of a shitty system. :afro:Originally Posted by Şĥ&

i was just reading over this topic again, and i read the start of this forum. wow, this is a stupid subject. i think anyone i know will tell me that the dreamcast sucked.

As with every console it has its perks and its downsides, im not saying it was a really bad console and im not saying it was a really good console. I liked the memory cards with the little screens too. I did not like the controller as it was uncomfortable and the two buttons at the back were a blatent copy from the n64, as were the analoge sticks on the PS / PS2 / Dreamcast / every console since.
But according to some people I think the dreamcast is the best ever console...... as to you i say

i just didnt like it. i though the controllers were going with the spaceship approach like the n64 was. the memory cards were the best thing it had. and thats not enough to sell a system.

meh.
I just bought a dreamcast for 14.99 w/ 6 month warranty and a keyboard for it for 3.99
20 bux for a gaming system = godly. <--- yes thats a period after godly.
also, maybe you should check this out:

Yea, 20 bux plus countless hours of leetness, and ill have linux on a dreamcast...
the only thing that sux, the broadband adapter is 120 dollars
75ish on ebay which sucks even more...

blimey! all this and not a single mention of DC Phone Home ...![]()

I must say the games are cool, but the system sucks.. ps2's and xbox's are much better.

I just found somthing out that makes the system much more in my eyes. It can play roms. 100's of free games at your fingertips. And im not shure if any other systems have this but it has a web browser.

it can play roms, and pretty much anything you want it to. you can design it to play NES games if you feel the need. you can burn games, then give em' to your friends (those of us who have friends, that is) and basically, you can do anything you can on a ps2. except for the whole play DVD's thing. but im sure you'd have a next gen console anyway(excluding gamecube, for it is a tissue box). because everyone does, therefore your able to play dvd's. so all in all, buy a dreamcast, and a next gen system so you can have all the fun you want.
btw, the dreamcast can also be tinkered with to play some early released ps2 games (ones that were not technically demanding, such as smugglers run) this is also why dreamcast stopped producing it's systems in a year or two after it's release, because it had that major coding problem that they did not want to deal with because of their lacking funds.
i also have heard that they are teaming up with atari for some new system that may be released along side the next generations of consoles. (code-named trexus) its supposed to support mini discs (like the unpopular gamecube) which is a bad way to go because that right there makes the dvd and cd playback un-available. although they may put some sort of add-on thing in it........ so yeah, sega isn't outta the race quite yet

I hate the X-box there are, what, 3 good games on it... Halo, Halo 2, and Fable. The only systems worth buying are the GCN and PS2. Dreamcast was a good system, hell, the Dreamcast was what invented online gaming. Not the X-box, ever hear of a game called Phantasy Star Online?
P.S. X-box will never be as good or have as many good games as ANY other system because Microsoft has to focus on their next OS more than anything.

:^o Gamecube pwns for multiplayer so shut ya face, not meaning in an offensive term mind. There are tons of decent games for gamecube, and the best thing is, all the best gamecube games arnt ported across to any other system. Metriod Prime, MArio Kart : DD, Mario PArty, Super Monkey Ball1&2, F-ZeroGX + more.. the PC does pwn all tbh.
