    You're an idiot.

E-ink wins in almost every category that matters for a reader. Massively increased batter life, highly reduced eye strain, outdoor readability, etc.
I also have a first generation Nook from a while ago and in all honesty the eye strain (for me) is no different between the two. That's just my .02 though. I'm young and still have great eye sight so I can imagine that it would possibly hurt someones eyes that are bit older.

Well I got a Kobo touch and it exceeds my expectations. It's just incredible.

Kobo readers rock. I've had an old one a while. Been using it years.

I still can't get over how good it is. I got a micro sd card on the weekend. It was 4GB and cost me AU$10 so I can put about 6 - 8 thousand books on it. That should last me a while

I'm tempted, Mr. Lazz. Very tempted!

ps. I'm tired of trying to read books on my Samsung Galaxy S2 - the screen is a bit too small.

pps. I noticed they are selling in the States for $99 but about $140 here. Our dollar is worth more...WTF?

    ppps. Is this the one?

Yep. That's it. But they're only $129 at Officeworks.

Have a look at one going before you get it. I don't know if you'll like it if you reckon the S2 is too small...

A bloke at work reckons the background isn't "white" enough but I have read for hours on it and never felt eye strain.

Re: Which eReader should I get?

I used to be against these because I like the feeling of actual books in my hand but the more and more I hear about these the more I like them.
I can definitely see how they would be handy, especially with someone deployed like AG who wouldn't have much space for books and a limited way of acquiring books.
But I love walking into a bookstore. I love the smell of all the books, all the possibilities of books I can read, etc.

I just went to the extreme of actually buying a book on Amazon and sticking it on my Kobo. Bloody brilliant these little devices.
