So I just spent the last three hours trying to get my phone (HTC Desire CDMA on USCC) rooted. I read up a few sites all with the same info on how to do it. Ran Revolutionary to gain S-OFF and then unrEVOked 3.32 for root access. After root access was available, I could not install any ROM. I decided to do a factory reset and now anything to do with Google apps or communication either force close or have been removed from my phone. Any suggestions other than getting a new phone?

I found a working backup of the factory ROM that somebody was all too kind enough to post a year ago.

Did you make sure ROM was CDMA compatible?

Did you remember to install the GApps seperate from the ROM? Go to cyanogenmod's website and find your compatible gapps package, and install it, it will fix everything.
I've got everything running correctly on the regular 2.2 OS except for the fact that I lost root but still have S-OFF.
