This game is scary as fucking balls. You will shit, piss, and ejaculate in your pants out of terror. As you might be able to tell, Amnesia doesn't rely on "stuff jumps out at you and there's blood and it's scary" like most movies do today. The game sets a horrifying atmosphere and relies on you to interpret the wheezing and footsteps you hear around the corner.

There's a demo on Steam. It's mind-fuck.

Do you do anything in this game or do you just walk around and open/close doors or move things?

Can you even run? Pretty sure the character got really scared and then turned and walked away instead of running...pretty pro

It wasn't very unnerving to me either, but they suggest that you use headphones and play with no lights on. The sound-design in the game is pretty amazing. I like the developers.

You have to do puzzles, but they're pretty straight-forward. The game is more about the atmosphere and feeling. They made the puzzles easier so you can focus more on the environment.

As it says when you first launch the game, you shouldn't be playing Amnesia to win. It isn't a a high-score type of game. The objective is for you to be immersed in the game's atmosphere, and take in everything the environment offers. So fucking creepy, man.

Alright, I played this game with headphones on yesterday and it was very hard for me to want to continue. After the character's sanity begins to corrupt, things start looking really weird in the dark. Also, it isn't fun to hear footsteps, then those footsteps running toward you when you can't see anyone.

the alexaNDER GUY IS A GHOST AND he wants to go to demon world and you can stop him by pushing over the pillars that are making th portal and then you end the game by walking out of the house castle place and the the cREDIts roll and then qq.
