This CPU cooler is awesome. It has dropped temps a good 10° and doesn't make a sound!!

This is way cool and functional. I have it in black, to match my front panel.

And I have this cool RAM with cooler. Except mine is DDR2.

This is my Northbridge cooler.


I've also ordered the following:

* Some of these to replace my case fans and plug into the Zalman controller.

* One of these to cool my video card. Isn't it ____ing EPIC????

* One of these to to blow on the Northbridge and back of the video card.

* One of these to blow out more hot air

I've got a quiet case, one of these so it's not loud. And the fans are all 120mm so they run slow.

On the other hand, I am starting to feel some latent water cooling tendencies...

Just looking round and I found this. So I'll get one of them too. Much better than the one I have now.

P180's are a nice case, Look for a Lian-Li 6070B or even just the 6070. I've mentioned it before but it just puts all other cases to shame.

Sadly they have been discontinued for quite some time(I found a site selling some back in '06 which is after they were discontinued but I didn't have the cash at the time and they were gone by the time I did.)

The RAM + dominator cooler and the CPU cooler you've got are both reviewed in this month's Total PC Gamer.

Both of which got 9/10, good choice. They also had the OCZ Vendetta 2 CPU cooler reviewed (which is the one up from the one I have), which only scored 8/10 so in theory you have better cooling capabilities than I do. Although I prefer my 4GB Viper DDR3 + vortex RAM cooling

What processor are you using? I really want a 1366 chipset but it's too much to spend, and it's only a 25% increase on my Q9550 quad core.

Yeah. The 1336 aren't worth it yet and I got a dual core (E8400) instead of a quad 'cos they're easier to overclock and run faster on games...

I tell a lie, I have the magazine in front of me now (I'm at work). Both of our CPU coolers got 8/10 and your RAM set got 9/10. Your RAM package has some serious bang for buck, it's in here for 83 GBP (~$160).

Another thing I found in here that's very interesting is Intel's X25-M 80GB SSD (Solid State Drive). It's basically just a hard disk that uses flash memory technology rather than a spinning mechanical platter. The advantage of this of course is the insanely quick transfer rates, the disadvantage of it though is that it costs nearly $1000 fo 80GB of disk space.

Unlike normal system RAM, NAND based flash modules do not require a continous charge to retain information, making them ideal for long term storage. In our HD Tune benchmark, the intel SSD proved to be 112% faster in read performance than the Western Digital Velociraptor and 69% faster than the already speedy OCZ SSD.

This is easily the fastest storage device we have ever seen, and represents a new benchmark for SSD performance.

I want one, but I'm not spending a third of what my entire system cost for 80GB of disk space.

Maybe when they come down in price eh?

Also, I've noticed you've gone seriously overboard with the cooling system LOL!! I have the OCZ CPU cooler, Vortex RAM cooler, 6 fans in my ThermalTake casing and another 6 standard ____ty fans glued into key places inside my casing and the whole system runs perfectly.

My quad Q9550 is overclocked from 2.83Ghz to 4Ghz, my HD4870 X2 GPU from 2GB to 2.8GB and my RAM FSB too (I can't remember ther exact specs for my RAM) and they are all fine with the stuff I got.

But ____ it, at least with all your extras you know when the time comes to move to the i7 chips and the next gen GFX cards you won't need to upgrade your cooling!

Aluminum, mid-tower, good front-back airflow, no stupid doors on the front, and black to match literally every other electronic I own (mouse, kb, laptop, speakers, monitor, DS Lite, HD-280 Pros). Its lack of front ports is kind of bad, but I might be able to find another decent case with a similar look and price that has more. Lazz1337, I'd have to second Mr. Badguy's statement that you went overboard with fans, but they're cheap, future-proof, and mostly worth the money, which is more than can be said for the Core i7. Even quad-core is unnecessary in most computers.
