Tech questions, and you.
When asking a tech question you will receive a better quality response by stating the following...(only if it is relevant)
1. Your operating system
2. Level of service packs
If it's related to a game (or other software):
1. Post the version number or patches you have installed.
System specs - for example: manufacturer/size/speed/version of....
*cpu
*ram
*motherboard
*video card
*sound card
*other add on cards
*drive sizes/types
In your question please include the following:
1. Detailed description of the steps you have already taken to rectify the problem;
2. In some cases, the last things you did to the system before the problem occured/was noticed;
3. Correctly written English. Please start sentences with a capital, and end them with a period. Do not write a 5 line question without proper punctuation. There's a spellchecker here, use it.
Before you post your question it may be wise to...
1. Put your question to google;
2. If you have an error message, you can run it through google as well. Often you'll be surprised how many people have the same problem as you do;
3. Check the manufacturer/developers web site for faq or user forums;
4. Search google for a user support group specific to your hardware/software.
5. RTFM!!! These include also the README.TXT files and INSTALL.TXT files, or files that are placed in a directory called 'doc' or 'Documentation'.
Thank Jebus for thise guidelines.
