NOTICE: Script Sigs Are Prohibited <<< ALL MEMBERS MUST READ

This afternoon the mods will start foricibly removing any and all script sigs from member's profiles. We can spot them whether they actually appear graphically in your sig or not.

Any subsequent violations will result in 1 month loss of sig privileges. Further violations will result in bans.

There are already rules in place that cover this. The collection of any member's personal information including IPs and or email addresses for any purpose is prohibited.

Signatures are a way to provide a graphical representation of your online persona. Nothing more. Not to collect personal member info, and not to spam member's email or IM applications.

If you want to show off your coding skills, there's a programming board just for that. But be it known, member information gathering will not be tolerated there or anywhere else on 1337.com.

Just to reinforce what Trav said: Signatures can contain plain text and links to an image (jpeg, gif, png) only.

No links to scripts, rotating image servers, executables, embedded code, etc will be tolerated.

This is for the security of the board and it's members.
