they are ALL awesome games. each of them being very innovative and bringing a whole new thing to the genre. but as far as groundbraking goes, goldeneye completley changed the basic FPS, not since doom has the industry for shooting games been so affected. Goldeneye = God.

Super Smash brothers got old after...30 minutes lol i just liked using Link! XD StarFox was awesome cause it was a game i could pretty much just pick up and play and understand. -was playing it 20 minutes ago-

I voted Goldeneye...since it kinda came before PD. Also, the AI was horrendously stupid ( :P ), multi-players levels were predictable, and...well...you could drive a tank!

Sure, PD has those Laptop Guns which I just keep throwing out in a hallway earning me over 100 frags in 5 minutes, but Goldeneye was a classic! Especialy DK mode. :lol:

This game defined the fps. Such brilliant games followed it made by Rare (and Free Radical [ a breakaway group of programmers from rare who left after perfect dark])
We have Perfect dark, a bloody brilliant game in itself, and obviously Timesplitters 2 (Free radical) TS2 is an amazing game, moreso for the gamecube, mainly because of the controller. TS3 out nxt year, looks very very promising. Countless games have copied Goldeneye's format, puzzles and basic engine designs.

Donkey Kong 64 - imo lacked 1 player, multi was hilarious and the music, sheer genius. Ok we have the Zelda Series which if i didnt mention i would be clinically insane (and yes WW owns) Mario 64, my first game, got an emulator with it on my PDA, very swish, love the game, still play it when im bored.

Other Games that deserve a big mention...
we got the mighty F-Zero, best arcade racer, none of that wipeout copying shite.
the insatiable multiplayer that is SSB, class game much fun is had with 2 n64's 2 TV's 8 controllers SSB and a load of alcohol :D

Basically i love nintendo, n64 is their best console (so far)

As for DK64, I loved it when it came out, it was like mario, but different, and I acctually played it more belive it or not. Still cant beat tehat damn original donkey kong classic so I never beat it. But I will. Maybe.

goldeneye was and still is da bomb, but TimeSplitters 2 i didnt like because
1. cheats were too hard to unlock (if anyone knows a way to unlock the cheats using a cheat as in goldeneye please tell me, it would make me enjoy the game so much more)
2. amazingly unrealistic damage
3. the monkeys are so annoying because they are so small and hard to shoot.

Remember playing it on a special pod b4 the N64 was released and couldnt pull myself away from the fact it was a full 3D world that u could move around and interact with. I sat and thot about this game for months like an obsession til i could finally afford the console and the game..........Utter class.

Goldeneye was defonately 2nd. Just amazing and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours of play.

Although Perferct Dark has more of everything than Goldeneye, I suppose it was too futuristic and too hard at some point of time? I find it bizaare, but I still play Goldeneye and I do not play Perfect Dark. Except for a Slow-motion War, anytime! Lost my 1337ness through time...:(

I loved Super Mario 64, Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros, well, you catch my drift. But Super Mario 64 on the DS I have to say is acctually alot smoother, and the multiplayer on it is great. Wireless and download play is pure genious.
