Hey guys... I know people love their old school games... but they wish they could live upto the standards of the new game generations. I know I did.. I wanted some of my not-so-old school friends to play some of the classics like Doom, Hexen, Quake, etc. so I went looking around... I don't know if this it hott news to any of you but I just recently stumbled upon it. There are little moddlets out there for these oldschool games that allow for improved graphics and new control schemes. They are really cool... some such are JHexen, GLDoom, Quake II Enhanced, etc. Feel free to look them up and modify your old school. It's quite fun going back and playing them again :)

I remember having duck hunt, mario, and this racing game all on one game for Nintendo. Like, we had this pad that you basically jumped on to make the runner go. And the, everyone knows Duck Hunt. It rox0rs.

I also had a Chip and Dale game and a Little Mermaid game... and Sonic the Hedgehog. In fact, I used to play Sonic at recess everyday in kindergarten with my best friends Mark and Andy. Those were the days. I'm always the token chick (I was Sally then... and I'm the only girl in my clan... and there's prolly only one other girl here). Sweet.

My cousin had awesome games. We played a shooting game and a boxing game ALL the time. My uncle would join in too. (Haven't seen them in a logn time though =((( )

And I have the shooting game Duck Hund on the nes 8 bit

you can play doom, 2, ultimate, final, and hexen in full 3d with the dooms day engine i have been using it for about a month and i am greatly impressed.

it has a ton of classics like ultimate doom, final doom, doom 2, hexen, heretic, quake, strife -- just to name a few (they are the FULL versions)

jdoom is an ok source port, gldoom is basically the same thing, but ZDOOM is the best source port by far. it has the best stuff, like mouselook, jumping, and, if you really suck, you can add bots into the level to help you!!


PS if you haven't played the classic game SYSTEM SHOCK, then you haven't lived.
