Well, actually, it is an extremely high-tech table including multitouch, wireless interaction with other devices, and even object recognition!

I don't know about you, but I just had my mind blown.

Here is another video, with Bill Gates.

Yeah I read about this.

I will finally be able to build my mock battleship bridge in my basement.

ALso, I like how Microsoft is basically saying they can be 1000x more advanced than any computer company, they just don't want to, right now. :P

That would be interesting. It would bring up "appropriate" material.

It would be awsome for playing games...

Yeah, I mentioned the potential of this for a RTS the first time something like this was posted.

I have known about things like this for a year or so but it's nice to see it right around the corner. This and disposable OLED screens are really what I'm looking forward to in the coming years.

Wow this looks really awesome! It would be great for RTS and maybe "puzzle" games. Also the wireless pic/video transfer is definetly worth a mention aswell. Finally old people can learn how to use technology :P.

Tell me about it, those commercials are good, but im loyal to the Pc. Macs are just too not game focused.

I would play a shit-ton more RTS's if I could manipulate the game using this kind of interface. I've always found the mouse to be too limiting for the genre.

I still want the Minority Report conductor-glove-thingy more though.

Looks good, but knowing Microsoft they'll get it wrong.
It would need a unique Operating System - which means that regular games wouldnt run on it, and it will be REALLY expensive so no games will be written for it as few people would have them. Either that or a game worth $40 will cost $400.

Shame though, I like the idea. Maybe in 5 years time when a cheaper one can be made.

Yeah, true. But gaming really depemds on how you harness the power within; the Wii is an excellent example of this. I don't see quite as much potential in this for gaming as I do in motion sensing.

Only one way to find out.
