Who here has a gamecube, and has a controller that doesnt have a messed up C-Stick or Thumb Stick. I swear, every controller I have purchased has died within 3 months. For example, 2 of the controllers have a messed up c-stick, and if you play super smash brothers melee, your character constantly does power attacks....lameage. And 2 of my other controllers have a messed up thumb stick, and they just duck the whole time.

Mine's been good.
It's the xbox controllers which seem to fuck up every few months for me.

Depends on the brand, really.

I bought the small XBox controller and no problems for over a year. As for the GC ones...I've seen them at McDonald's and MAN, they are made flimsy. Check the aftermarket market such as MadCatz and Logitech (not usually). There are sometimes better replacements out there. Oooh, and if you can, check eBay for the cheapest prices.
Cheers!

GC controllers are really sturdy for me. Hardcore. They tend to take abuse pretty well, you just mash too hard.
X-Box controllers are tanks, I have had mine for about 3-4 years now. It's totally badass.

Microsoft.
That would be a good argument, considering I am a total badass and have stepped on my XBX controller and it still withstood.
I'm fat too. Fat as hell.

i have encountered a problem with the xbox controllers... they seem to not notice they're hooked up after you use them for about a year....... the screen will always say "please replace controller in controller slot 1 and press x to resume"
but the gamecube controllers ive used seem to mess up often also. the control sticks seem to get wobbly and when you don't touch them, they'll move a character on their own free will... and the gamecube buttons seem to stick easier

For the most part GC controllers can?t withstand a lot, however like everything in life they?re prone to ware and tare. The official Nintendo controllers seem to last longer than most of the 3rd party brands, but it comes down to sometimes we just don?t know our own strength and mash just a little to hard.

I've got some bad news for you buddy, Gamecubes aren't born. They're spawned, spawned from Tarturas as a matter of fact.
