well it was kinda obvious to me that the war on terror was just a name because its kinda hard to define a terrorist and we decided to declare war on a random entity.

The namesake is all propaganda. Our politics are full of it here in America...

George Bush: I want to have a war. It will be a war on terror.
Others: We don't want to support such a war.
Bush: So you support terrorism!

Which is the basic argument made by calling the war that.

In our country, we have had the patriot act (a bill that allows for unwarranted wire-tapping of foreign calls, nothing patriotic there), and just recently, in the state of Florida, there was the anti-murder act (an act that strips power from county judges and burdens state prisons, nothing really for murder itself).

Anyone who votes against these are faced with such statements as "X must not be patriotic." or "X must not care about people being murdered." This kind of propoganda is childish, and should be removed from politics.

But really, all thats been said in this topic about the idea that if you don't support the war, you support terrorism, is true. Politicians were put in place because they can word stuff like that, so you almost have to follow their lead. It's why americas politics are crooked. After rereading that, i realized it looked like i said if you dont like the war your a terrorist! I meant that that is exactly how they were playing it out, so if you don't agree, you hate america.
