View Full Version : Bisexuals don't exist.

There is no such thing as a bisexual male.
It a study done on 100 males, 34 being straight, 33 being gay, and 33 being bi, all of the bisexual males showed a preference when shown sexual images of men and women to either men or women. They're either gay and hiding it, or straight and trying impress women/seem more accepting.
(I'm not 100% positive on those numbers, but I know that the study came to the conclusion that every male who called himself "bisexual" had a preference, despite what he claimed, I'd try to find the study.... but I'm lazy.)
That study was conducted by Gerulf Rieger at Northwestern University.
Basically he subjected men and women to both man-man porn and women-women porn. Straight men obviously preferred women-women, and women showed arousal in both. By the way to measure which they prefer..men had elastic devices on there penis. Right there the professor should be slapped. That's going with the stereotype that men think solely with there penis'.
Sexual response is not everything we think of when we think of sexual orientation.
They enrolled 30 heterosexual men, 33 bisexual men, and 38 homosexual men. Nine of the heterosexual men, 11 of the bisexual men, and 13 of the homosexual men did not become genitally aroused by the videos and were dropped from the final analysis. So the data from those guys were dropped.....Not to mention 100 people cannot possibly accurately represent hundreds of thousands.
There are bisexual people. I'm living evidence :P. You can't really say bisexual people are bisexual because they won't admit to being homosexual because bisexual people are even less accepted that homosexual people. It's not easier to go both ways, it's just more fun. :salute:

Most gays dislike bi's. Weather or it's for sure is still questionable. It is possible to be aroused by both genders, but it's more a slippery slope than homosexuality from a biological standpoint.

The argument as I'm interpreting it concerns itself exclusively with the definition of the term "bisexual"; if you consider that definition to denote a perfect 50/50 split of a person's sexual preferences, then I can understand the logic in saying "bisexual" isn't a proper word, since no such person exists by that definition, as oritentation isn't that clear-cut on a personal level.
However, since the connotation of the term is widespread and understood to mean "someone who likes both guys and girls," I think it makes the above pretty much irrelevant.
Also, Webster's definition doesn't say anything about a person having to like both sexes equally; they just have to actively be attracted to both genders. So really, it's just up to personal definition to define bisexuals in such manner as they cease to plausibly exist in reality.
bi·sex·u·al
Pronunciation: (")bI-'sek-sh(&-)w&l, -sh&l
Function: adjective
1 a : possessing characters of both sexes : HERMAPHRODITIC b : of, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward both sexes
2 : of, relating to, or involving both sexes

It depends on if you look at sexuality as a line, or as two points.
I see it as a line, bisexuality is not being solidly enough to homosexuality or heterosexuality to claim one. Most bisexual people will tell you they have a tendency toward one side, I'd have to say mine is probably more toward guys, but not so much though that I don't find interest in women. As a matter of fact until very recently I had a girlfriend and she was hawt. :P
I wuz aboozed as a child. No not really, well not alot. :P

Well, it's really hard to say though.
What about for women?
I remember having a friend say she was "bi".
Then later on telling me she was straight because she thought girls were untrustworthy.

That sounds more like a personal, internal conflict or confusion rather than a genuine, universal statement against bisexuality; you could really say the same about any attempt at classifying one's orientation.
I consider myself straight, but I like to allow my mind at least a little give so that, should a situation arise where I have "gay feelings," I don't feel so locked in my views that my brain implodes. I've seen that kind of thing happen to people: it's not a pretty sight.

Well that's with the assumption that it's a choice, if the person is choosing than of course it could change sides.

In a way, I see it. It's perty stupid. people should just make up their mind.
Instead of going back and forth, this why alot of gay and bi relationships dont work so well, most of the time.

ok back to the gay thing
Ive always seen it as a decion or curiosity because a guys hormones are not naturaly attracted to other guys, same with girls. Some people even say they are just for the title of being "Bisexual" bc now days it seems cool (thanks to all the actors and actresses looking for more attention) and another way for the hopeles teenagers to fit in.
I seriously find the thought of me sucking on some other guys dick EXTREMELY discusting

Perhaps there is no "gay or straight", It just depends on how gay or straight you act. For example, a metrosexual or bisexual is not as gay as a guy in bondage at a male club but could still be considered somewhat gay.
The terms heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual are limiting because they require someone to fit a specific suit. I have been sexually active with a few girls since high school and a lot of teenage girls seem to be open about sex and often come across as bisexual. I'm heterosexual by my own preference but I can see the terms would limit some others who waffle on their sexuality.

Emo bisexual means boys kiss boys and girls giggle about how emo boys kissing other emo boys is hot, so basically, it's a trend. Otherwise, as a wise man once said, "A bisexual is someone who, when they reach down someone's pants, are satisfied with whatever they find."

my mom is a lesbian through and through (she hates the penis) but she won't hesitate to say a guy is hot (in fact she rly likes jason stathem) that does not make her bi because in order to be bi u have to have no problem having sex with the other gender. so deathsofnubbins u r very wrong. and yes bisexuality is possible but the majority are just afraid to come out i know because i know 3 bi guys that went gay as soon as they thought it was acceptable. now i honestly would kill a man if he without kidding hit on me because i take after my mom i lika da pussy.

Now, I dont have too much knowledge or scientifical data to back this idea up, but Ill just throw it out. Ive thought there were two types of bi's, one is really rare, when a person has near equal or eqaul amounts of male and female pheromone receptors and is attracted to both male and female pheromones, and the other type of person who just likes both varieties, for whatever reason they have whether it may be they are attracted to the person's personality, the person's features, or maybe the bi just likes sex and doesnt discriminate on which gender they get it from. I remember reading a book about sexuality some summers ago that gave out this something like this theory, but I couldnt give you any information on this book.

Bisexuals are just greedy, for some of us it's hard enough just getting one partner :P
I suppose it's possible to be attracted to both sexes. I don't know what people see in guys: we're hairy, scratch ourselves in public, and belch and fart a lot.
Noxis
February 16th, 2007, 02:20 AM
I don't think that what your saying is a case of bisexuals do not exist but that they are not completely slit evenly between both sexualities. Just because some people get turned on more by members of a certain sex as long as they get turned on by both sexes doesn't it mean that they are bisexual?
NeverSoft
February 20th, 2007, 02:45 AM
Well, one of the beliefs as to a leading cause of sexual orientation is something to do with the brain stem, for men it is thinner and for women it is thicker, in gay men it is thicker and gay women it is thinner, in bisexuals it is somewhere in between a sort of stuck in the middle.
This is just what my Biology teacher said it may not be exactly what she said but it is close enough to give you the idea of it.
Slevin57

Very true as you don't see many bisexual people in their later 20's, by then they pick a gender to pork and stick with it.

You can just as easily call yourself straight and be gay as you can call yourself bisexual and be straight. People do it for various reasons...but that doesn't mean there aren't legitimate people in the crowd that actually are what they proffess to be.
I think the best test is the fuck test :P. If you haven't fucked in whatever direction your going (or both :P) then I consider you in that "curious" stage.

hm, it is sort of a love hate relationship. I've dated a bi girl before, but she was harboring feelings for a guy at the same time. Major blow to the ego. Anyways, yeah... I think we don't like bisexuals is because of the fear of being left for the opposite gender, and that they seem so confused. I believe that people can be bi though, I believe it is harder for a guy to be a true bi rather than a girl...

That and the depo-shot can avoid all of the above altogether.
