as i was reading todays sunday comics i stumbled accross Mallard Fillmore. thats where i learned the following

as im sure many of u know, China highly cencers internet usage. any sites containing words like 'freedom' 'democracy' 'human rites' and 'integrity' are blocked from civilians.

BUT did u know that Microsoft developes software that aids the chinesse government in this cencorship? and its not just microsoft. yahoo and google(that really upset me) also do the same thing.

Alot of companies do stuff we don't agree with. But that's just the way things are and you can't just STOP using their products. Plus it's not that bad, the?'re just doing their job. It's China's fault.

and, everyone's evil, not just those companies.... every company does bad things, just some aren't so outspoken with it....... and i personally don't care about what happens to the chinese internet.....

It's called business. And the world is run by money. There is no place for morals inside a multi-billion dollar company. Sad. But nobody cares, if China wants to keep itself crappy and communist, then by god let them. They're the only country we still cant westernize and democratize. So...the companies do what they have to do to have that money.

Microsoft is a software company. Aside from creating the first BASIC, anything they have done could have been done by others...
I dobut we would all be dead.

And boycotting does work. If we can stop using the companies product, for even a little while, and many others do it as well, the lack of sales will cause the company to change its policy, and we can all start enjoying them again.

Microsoft may not run the world, but *gasp* they have the dominant OS and web browser. Their products dominate much of the world's business market. But yeah, it's not cool that companies help out China. I think I read somewhere that Murdoch's News Corp. Does the same thing.

Say one day xbr was going to go out for a run but realised that he had to install some new updates for his OS. So instead of taking his dog out he sits at his computer for 15mins waiting. If he had gone on that walk his dog could have maimed him, he could have been attacked, a large eagle could have carried him off and fed him to it's young or he could have tripped and landed on a large spike.

I now realise that I said we could all be dead so you can apply the time you've waited for something Microsoft related to load to this situation.

Hah, yeah, they only run 96% of the world.

Anyway, people only bash Microsoft because they think its cool, we all went through our OMFG LINUX phase.

Honestly, Microsoft makes good products, but because 90% of people use it, it becomes harder to protect. I run Windows because everything in compatible with it.
But just in case, my laptop duel boots into Linux.

Linux has its own plusses, but thats for another topic.

i do like most of the bollocks people write here, especially the bit about china being banned from having guns, especially since they were going on about the riots in china not long ago which were being hushed up, and someting like 2 million chinese rioters were rounded up and shot, and if you havent noticed the news thats chinese have started making their own cars and westernizing and are barely communist anymore, this has been for a few years aswell, dont go spouting bollocks if you dont know what your on about
