I've been asking everyone this, but I guess none of my friends are 1337 enough to know... what is progressive scan? I mean the gaming type of progressive scan. Apparently, I have a TV that is compatible with progressive scan, and an upcoming Xbox 360, but I have no idea what progressive scan is. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to activate it? I have GCN currently, btw.

Progressive scanning is a method for representing moving images on a display screen, where every pixel is represented in each frame. This is in contrast to the interlacing used in traditional television systems (progressive-scanning devices are sometimes referred to as non-interlaced).
Progressive scan is used in computer monitors. Usually video monitors use a faster scan to order the placement of pixels of the frame of video from left to right and from top to bottom at a given frame rate (e.g. every 1/60 of a second).
I knew all of that, and typed it out myself. And nothing can prove otherwise.
Except this article, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_scan) which you may choose to read in its entirety.

Now how would I activate this for my GCN, or possibly my 360?

Well, I just tried Google and Wikipedia simultaneously to figure that out, and found nothing. Or, more precisely, I found way too much information to sift through, seeing as I have very little of an idea of what I'm looking for.
Sorry, I'm not cool enough to help you.
