I was reading a book of celtic mythology that I have earlier today and just thought I would ask if anyone here liked mythology? What kind?
Personally I like Celtic and Norse the best.
What's your favorite?

Greek mythology gets boring unless someone tells you the story. From what I've heard and the LITTLE I've read (which I don't remember now) Norse is better.
P.S. - It's all about the Encyclopedia Butlerica

Native American mythology... with the earth and the sky and the trees and the coyote. (There is like... 90% chance your NA myth will have a coyote in it)

Woah, how could I have missed this thread? I love mythology and I definitely think I know my stuff in that subject. Anyway, I like pretty much all kinds but right now I'm more interested in certain Native American mythology. If you know a lot about history, paranormal, and linguisticts you tend to recognize different things and appreciate it more. Oh, kami, please don't let me rave about it. *deep breath* Ok, I'm done.

I mean, with NA mythology, the coyote just kicks ass. The fox is cool, too.

Ok. Greek Mythology is nasty incestual and wrong.
Ever wonder how the Minotaur was born?
Poseidon was angered by Minos and sent a bull to rape his wife.
How does Zeus woo girls? He takes the form of a white bull and then rapes them.
Ever wonder what you get when a son kills his father, marries his mother and has kids with her? He gouges his eyes out and walks around until the gods feel nice =/
Read some slavic myths :P They're great.

I was always a fan of greek mythology, it seemed to be very interesting, no matter what disterbing things they do. I really like how alot of places hundreds of years ago had multiple gods, 1 for every aspect of life :worship: it's cool

I love all kinds of mythology, but I have to say my favorites are Japanese (especially with demons like the nyaki and a goddess like Amaterasu) and Indian mythology.
