Now, what has happened in the past is something that most of us regret. We love 1337.com and we respect it and most of its members.

But,

What I don't understand is why just about every normal member in the sharkpool treats the "ub3r n00bs" like crap. We want to welcome them and treat them nicely and hopefully get alot more better members.

I don't understand why people hate me. I try to post things that are sensible. I try to be humorous at the same time (example: my thread entitled "hay u guyz!! m i kewl???")

I hope you took the time to read all of this. And I look forward to an enjoyable stay here at 1337.com.

... I'm pretty sure the upgrade system is explained in a sticky somewhere, but either you hit a certain amount of rep points and posts, and you get an auto upgrade, or a mod/admin can manually upgrade you.

Something about bouncingtomb probably struck a mod/admin as upgrade-worthy.

The noob upgrade system is automatic. Once you have been here for a certain length of time, have a certain number of posts and reached a certain rep then you move on up the chain.

Anyone, even super members, with less than 50 posts are classed as noobs.
