I can assure you that we Canadians call it lint. As it should be. Lint is a specific type of fluff, found in the pocket or navel, which is a combination of fluff, dust and other small particles.

Ok I say pocket lint when there's lint in my pocket and a lint trap thing in the dryer but I say fluff when it's a single tiny spec on someone's shirt or on black clothes. "You have pocket lint/ belly button lint" "You have fluff in your hair."
