I doubt anyone besides Capcom will do this. They will get HUGE support from the JP market, and a lot of people will like the style here, but not like in Japan.

Mario Galaxy and Mario 64 were both very good games.

Will agree about Sonic though. Sonic 2006 was possibly one of the worst games ever created.
